Musashi Seimitsu Industry Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture; President and CEO: Hiroshi Otsuka; hereinafter “Musashi”) is pleased to announce that its EV drive unit (e-Axle) for two-wheeled electric vehicles has been adopted for “AKX,” a new model from Emobi Manufactury Private Limited (Head office: Bangalore, India; hereinafter “Emobi”).

“AKX” is the second Emobi model to be equipped with Musashi’s e-Axle, following “Kyari,” which launched in Bangalore in November 2025. Musashi’s e-Axle for two-wheel EVs delivers the following strengths in real-world operating environments:
• Smooth acceleration from start
• Superior pick up torque
• Improved acceleration performance

These strengths come from Musashi’s original e-Axle, which applies to two-wheel EVs the technological expertise and know-how cultivated over many years in two-wheeler transmissions. Featuring a proprietary reduction gear, the e-Axle delivers quietness and efficiency while achieving acceleration and torque on par with two-wheel internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.

In India, home to the world’s largest two-wheeler market, the government aims to transition 80% of its two-wheelers to electric vehicles by 2030. The electrification of two-wheelers is progressing rapidly, ahead of four-wheelers. As part of Musashi’s E-mobility business expansion in India, in June 2024, the local joint venture company Musashi Delta e-Axle India Pvt. Ltd. commenced mass production of e-Axles for two-wheel EVs, establishing a supply system for local EV startup companies including Emobi.

Through promoting the widespread adoption of two-wheel EVs in the Indian market, Musashi remains committed to contributing to the realization of a harmonious and environmentally conscious global society.
