Musashi Exhibits a booth on August 20-22 Hiroshi Otsuka, the President of the Company Speaks at Stage Event on August 21

Musashi Seimitsu Industry Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture; President and CEO: Hiroshi Otsuka, hereinafter referred to as "Musashi") will exhibit a booth at *the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) Business Expo & Conference from August 20 to 22, 2025, held at Pacifico Yokohama.
At this exhibition, Musashi will showcase its efforts aimed at contributing to the environment, economy, and society through sustainable development of e-Mobility business in Africa.

On Thursday, August 21, Hiroshi Otsuka, the President of the Company, will speak at the special stage in the venue about the electric mobility in Africa with the theme of “the Need for Electric Mobility in Africa’s Development.

*Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) is an international conference led by Japanese government and co-hosted by United Nation, etc. with the aim of sustainable development of Africa. This marks the fourth time the event has been held in Yokohama.

Purpose of the Exhibition and Musashi Initiatives toward African Business

Since 2021, Musashi has been collaborating with ARC Ride, a Kenyan startup company that manufactures and sells electric two-wheelers to promote the expansion of e-Mobility in the African market.
In the August 2022, Musashi first participated in TICAD 8 held in Tunisia and came to re-recognize the needs for green technology across African nations and has since been actively advancing the full-scale development of its e-Mobility business.

Since 2024, Musashi has been selected as an indirect subsidy recipient under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s FY2023 supplementary budget related to “Subsidy for The Global South Future-Oriented Co-Creation Project (Investigation on Promoting Overseas Infrastructure Expansion by Japanese Companies),” and has carried out proof-of concept project in Kenya and Ethiopia. (The project in Kenya was completed in the end of February 2025.)
Through these activities, Musashi has decided to join an exhibition at “the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9)” to be held in August 2025, aiming at further expansion of business model across African countries such as Kenya and Ethiopia.
Additionally, Musashi has been recognized as “TICAD 9 Co-Creation Partner” by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs TICAD secretariat. Musashi will continue to promote sustainable mobility in Africa and strive to environmental, economic, and social development in the region.
