Musashi Seimitsu Industry Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Toyohashi, Aichi; President and CEO: Hiroshi Otsuka; hereinafter referred to as “Musashi”) has decided to fully update its uniform bottoms to black pants to create a more comfortable working environment for its employees. This change will be implemented uniformly across all employees (approximately 16,000) in 36 locations in 14 countries.
This initiative represents the renewal of the all-white uniform, which has been worn for over 60 years since Musashi transitioned to automotive parts manufacturing.
The traditional uniform has long been worn as a symbol of Musashi’s philosophy of “Consistent Sincerity” and “Simple and Sturdy” spirit. On the other hand, as the company has ventured into new business areas and expanded its global presence, employee needs have diversified—leading to increased feedback regarding uniform issues such as unfit, uncomfortable with transparent color and fabric stiffness. In response to employees’ feedback and the need for consistency across global sites, Musashi has renewed its uniform. This initiative represents a symbolic step toward transformation under our 100-Year Vision “Go Far Beyond!”, while continuing to inherit the philosophy we have cherished for a long time.
