Musashi Seimitsu Industry Co., Ltd. (Global Headquarters: Toyohashi-city, Aichi, Japan; President and CEO: Hiroshi Otsuka) has formed a capital alliance with SoftWheel Ltd. (SoftWheel; Global Headquarters: Tel Aviv, Israel; CEO: Daniel Barel), an Israel-based venture that developing advanced technologies for electric auto mobiles. Musashi will take part in their development activities to commercialize them.

Musashi has been focusing on developing its original reduction gear boxes for xEV that the demand is expected to rapidly grow in the market. The company is also expanding R&D activities of Linkage and Suspension on a global basis, while taking a challenge for the new and upgraded requirements. On the other hand, SoftWheel’s new platform for electric vehicles offers a system that combine the drivetrain, suspension, e-motor, steering and brakes and aiming to reduce space and weight and power consumption.
SoftWheel’s innovative in-wheel technology is recognized as the enabler of future vehicle platforms including EV, hybrid and autonomous vehicles. By integrating Musashi’s technologies and global sales network with SoftWheel’s, we will, together, accelerate the R&D activities to commercialize the system.
