 Musashi Seimitsu Industry Co. Ltd. (Headquarter: Toyohashi City Aichi Prefecture, CEO Hiroshi Otsuka, here in after“Musashi”) has announced driving module which enables flat platform for electric vehicle in cooperation with REE, their capital alliance and strategic partner at the 68th Frankfurt Motor show (IAA2019) held in Frankfurt.

 The new platform integrates all of the drive components into the corner of the car to increase the design freedom, and maximize internal space, enable multiple platform configuration upon a single platform, reduce the vehicle size and weight, improve operational efficiency and speed new model cycle times.

 The e-motor, steering, suspension, sensing, braking, thermal management system, power management system, sensing and preventative maintenance are placed into the corner of the vehicle completely freeing the chassis and enabling a flat platform, lowering the center of the vehicle agility and stability.

 Musashi will continue to work with REE, our strategic partner, to build a future foundation for electric vehicles. This platform is on display at Musashi’s booth during the IAA. Please drop by when you come to the venue.
