Certified as a Co-Creation Company at the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9)

Musashi Seimitsu Industry Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, President & CEO: Hiroshi Otsuka, hereinafter referred to as "Musashi") has been certified as a "Co-Creation Company for the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9)" by the TICAD Secretariat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan in preparation for the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) scheduled to be held in Yokohama from August 20 (Wed) ~ August 22 (Fri), 2025.

In this way, Musashi aims to expand the sustainable and self-sustaining e-mobility business model developed in Kenya, Ethiopia, and other countries to other African countries, and will actively promote collaboration and exchange between the public and private sectors at TICAD9.
Based on the knowledge, relationships of trust, and local experience that we have cultivated over the years, we will continue to provide sustainable services that meet the needs of African countries, focusing on battery swapping services (BaaS), their secondary use, and the development of related infrastructure.

The Government of Japan (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) will seek to further foster momentum for TICAD9 in Japan and Africa, with the participation and cooperation of private companies.
①　Building Momentum by Promoting TICAD9 in Japan and Abroad
②　Active public-private and private-sector exchanges in both Japan and Africa through arrangements for meetings with dignitaries from African countries and business visits using the TICAD9 platform and other means.
We are looking for a wide range of "TICAD9 Co-creators" (British: TICAD9 Co-creators).

Musashi participated in TCIAD 8 held in Tunisia in 2022 to reaffirm the need for green tech in African countries and accelerate the deployment of small-scale e-mobility. As an indirect subsidy business operator related to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's FY5 Reiwa 5th Amendment "Global South Future-Oriented Co-Creation Project Expense Subsidy (Survey on Promotion of Overseas Expansion of Infrastructure by Japanese Companies)," which we have been promoting since 2024, we are working on small-scale demonstrations in two countries, Kenya and Ethiopia.　In the future, we will expand these business models to other African countries.

①　In Kenya, the "Republic of Kenya / Demonstration Project for Feasibility Verification of Digital Services Using Electric Motorcycles and Other Vehicles that Contribute to Reducing Environmental Impact" (Global South Future-Oriented Co-Creation Project Subsidy Project) was adopted in 2024. The project was completed at the end of February 2025, and the joint project was started based on the results of this demonstration.

②　In Ethiopia, the "Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia / Demonstration Project for Digital Services Utilizing Electric Motorcycles and Other Vehicles that Contribute to Reducing Environmental Impact" was adopted in 2024, and a small-scale demonstration project is being conducted with the aim of horizontally expanding Kenya's business model.

In preparation for TICAD9, we will promote our business model in Kenya and Ethiopia to dignitaries and local companies in African countries. We will have a booth at the 「TICAD Business Expo＆Conference」, a thematic event of TICAD9.

Musashi Seimitsu Kogyo is developing and manufacturing next-generation powertrains, steering and chassis parts for automobiles and motorcycles on a global scale, with an eye on electrification and autonomous driving. In addition, in the area of new businesses, we are expanding our business by utilizing open innovation in the e-mobility business, smart industry business, energy solution business, and plant biotechnology business.
