Musashi AI Limited (Headquarters: Toyohashi city, Aichi prefecture; CEO: Sota Murata, “Musashi AI”), a company being a part of Musashi Seimitsu Industry Co., Ltd. (Global Headquarters: Toyohashi city, Aichi prefecture; President and CEO: Hiroshi Otsuka, “Musashi”) is glad to announce an additional AI visual inspection machine for transmission gears that was introduced at the production site of Toyota Motor Corporation.

Musashi AI's AI visual inspection machine was installed on the transmission gears production line at Toyota Motor’s headquarters plant, and has been active in the mass production since December 2020. Since the first deployment, Musashi AI has been gradually delivering additional AI visual inspection machines to other production sites, and there are currently a total of 8 AI visual inspection machines, including at Toyota Motor’s headquarters plant.
Regarding the introduction of the AI visual inspection machine, the following comment was received from Toyota Motor:
“We had a process where one person was looking at surface of a tooth for about tens of thousands of times a day. There was a huge burden on such employee, and thanks to the automation process this burden has eased, and we heard voices of gratitude from the plant floor”.
