Musashi AI's AI visual inspection machine has been implemented at a number of production sites, including Toyota Motor’s head office plant, with transmission gears as the main inspection application. In order to expand the scope of AI visual inspection to include bigger parts other than transmission gears, as well as parts with complex shapes, Musashi AI has worked on researching original algorithms and developing software to successfully detect the unique defects that occur during the aluminum case manufacturing process.

The AI visual inspection machine equipped with this new software has been introduced to the production line of aluminum cases for transaxles. Musashi Ai's visual inspection equipment is characterized with high versatility, and in this example as well, it was introduced using existing line equipment. Musashi AI, whose strength is the on-site implementation of AI that is familiar with manufacturing, will aim to improve accuracy in order to expand the scope of AI visual inspection, including parts for electric vehicles.
