(Headquarters: Toyohashi, Aichi; CEO: Ms. Atsuko Morita), developing inner and outer care products made from botanical phytochemicals of East Mikawa: the eastern region of Aichi Prefecture. Musashi has acquired 49% of its shares through third-party share issuance and will participate in its management.
Ms. Atsuko Morita, a leading authority on phytotherapy in Japan, has found soil of East Mikawa is globally-rare and effective to develop botanical phytochemicals and she confirmed the local plants such as mulberry, chrysanthemum, and Gotu Kola are very rich in the ingredients with antimicrobial activity and antioxidative effect. Ms. Morita has a unique patent to extract such active botanical ingredients from such plants very purely and effectively to develop into cosmetics and foods. Waphyto is aiming to contribute to the local society and human health by establishing Eastern Mikawa brand cosmetics with local botanical phytochemicals through promoting them to the global market.
Musashi, located in Easter Mikawa, believes it is our vision to contribute to resolve social issues such as declining of population in local area including farmers.
